Find Your Timber Style

Many people think of timber frame as having a similar feel to a log cabin, when in fact, timber can be incorporated into most any style home, building, or structure. As our Head Expert and owner Jim Diffenderfer says, “You could have a horse standing in the middle of one of our projects and a grand piano in another.” Here, we’ve chosen a few highlights of the many styles we’ve worked with over the years.

A few things to keep in mind when deciding what feel your timber should have:

What style furniture are you attracted to most? This will help you determine what you’re already drawn to, and we can craft work to reflect your taste precisely.
What is the tone, mood, and feel you want your project to have and to set? This can help decide the details your timber work should include.
Your timber doesn’t have to be limited to one style. You may have a formal living room in which you would like a very detailed truss, but a study or bonus room where your timber can be crafted to create a more casual feel.
